Inspired by the surrounding mountains, creativity, and connections, Sopris Lodge at Carbondale introduces Serenity Peaks, a resident-centered program in our Sanctuary neighborhood that supports and enriches the mind, body and spirit of residents living with dementia.
Resident-Centered Care
The Serenity Peaks Program enhances resident life through elements of many respected approaches to memory care. We lean on the Montessori principles of a supportive environment, valuing and validating residents, engaging their senses, and encouraging connection through long-term memories.
The Story of Me
Our welcoming process builds “The Story of Me” for your loved one, following the principle that our past helps define who we are in the present. Considerations include culture, beliefs, traditions and family dynamics. In gathering these details, we begin to understand how we can provide a soothing, engaging and meaningful experience in the Sanctuary neighborhood.
